JOB SUMMARY

Join our growing and dynamic team and help us with a number of different tasks that will vary day to day.  This will range from being a parts runner, maintaining the grounds at the Elkhart location, and different projects with the owner’s property and commercial properties, as directed by the owner of the company.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Parts runner to pick up parts where needed by the Elkhart location
  • Yard work such as mowing, planting, trimming, replacement of shrubs etc.
  • Clean up where needed for commercial properties
  • Hauling away debris where needed
  • Minor carpenter work, including painting
  • Help out Elkhart shop where needed
  • Helping out on golf course maintenance
  • There may be other duties as assigned by management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not supervise other employees

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position would operate in both a field and shop environment.  It will have exposure to varied weather conditions.

 

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position. 

 

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Hhhours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Some evenings and weekends, as necessary.

 

TRAVEL

This position will be traveling only near the Elkhart location to include the metro area of Des Moines and to the Grand Junction golf course.

Sales Representative
JOB FUNCTION:

To sell, rent or lease new and used agricultural and construction equipment to new and existing customers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Represent Rueters in the sale of agricultural and construction equipment
  2. Meet sales goals set forth by the store manager
  3. Maintain overall knowledge of product features and benefits of all equipment sold by Rueters
  4. Stay current on financing options to assist customer with securing the purchase of new or used equipment
  5. Help promote and assist in the sale of parts and service

Service Manager
JOB FUNCTION:

To oversee all personnel and responsibilities assigned to the service department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Develop and maintain effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  2. Develop yearly goals for shop efficiency
  3. Review all repair orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials, and labor. Address issues with service writer.
  4. Inspect and approve the release of equipment for delivery to customer
  5. Promote customer loyalty and goodwill while protecting dealership image

• Proficient in computer applications

• Ability to work flexible hours; Saturdays

Service Technician
JOB FUNCTION:

To independently perform basic agricultural and construction equipment diagnostics and repairs for customer or dealer-owned equipment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Perform basic/complex agricultural and construction equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed
  2. Perform thorough examination of equipment. Report additional problems and/or safety issues to the Service Manager so customer can be made aware
  3. Fill out complete and accurate documentation for parts and services performed
  4. Promote customer loyalty and goodwill by developing fair practices on billing customer tickets

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of agricultural and construction equipment
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Excellent skills in operating vehicle and equipment use for diagnostic purposes
• Team oriented with positive attitude and desire to provide excellent customer service
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work varying shifts; Saturdays
• Willing to participate in job related trainings and development courses as requested

Parts Manager
JOB FUNCTION:

To oversee all personnel and responsibilities assigned to the parts department including sales, inventory, marketing, training and goals set forth by the store manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Manage inventory by forecasting/maintaining proper stock order levels and building returns
    2. Develop yearly goals for sales, revenue and efficiency
    3. Work with marketing to develop and implement a marketing plan focusing on specific parts promotional activities and advertising to support sales and goals
    4. Monitor and review monthly parts sales reports
    5. Conduct annual physical inventory
    6. Assist with counter sales when necessary
    7. Recruit, train, and provide direction to parts personnel to support parts sales growth and customer service requirements in coordination with store manager

Parts Counter Sales
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform all functions related to the receiving, sales and delivery of parts in a professional and positive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Greet customers/answer parts calls with a positive attitude
  2. Sell products and/or services to meet customer’s needs
  3. Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronically) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of equipment being serviced
  4. Record sales, counter transactions, and parts payment collections; making sure all are billed out correctly
  5. Properly invoice customers paying close attention to account, pricing, freight, etc.
  6. Stay current on manufacturer/store parts and service programs in order to market and promote additional sales
  7. Track all incoming and outgoing parts
  8. Receive and stock inventory
  9. Organize warehouse
